Hi Steve
I'm fairly certain that there is a known bug with this problem between the 7000 and the 4500. If you check on the Polycom website, there is a patch (as usual) to fix this.
As for the MGC, what version are you running?

Try to force the audio / video algorithms to G722 / h261 on the PT4500 or if that fails on both systems.
I guess that the ancient 4500 is having problem with all the new algorithms that the VSX handle.
What is the sw version on the pt4500?

Its very likely that the 4500 is configured for "Auto" mode for video and audio negotiations. Most installers left these modes at these default settings, thus the 4500 would always look to negotiate the Ptel proprieties before reverting to the standards available at the time.
Quite often this caused connection problems when the Ptel4500 was connecting with 'other' systems, the connection would complete but would not get video and/or audio...........These problems have been even more apparent with systems that utilise newer standards for video/audio codecs that are now available.
1st configure the Ptel4500 to force negotiation H.261 and G.728
2nd If dialling from the MGC manager, you can also try to force the participant video and audio modes rahter than leaving this also as "auto".

What version of software are you on with the Concorde ? I suspect you will need to be at least 6.0.1 or later to get it to really work... I might have a software cartridge around here somewhere that is 6.0.1 if you need it...

I have the VSX7000 beta patch, it still fails...
I have tried forcing the audio/video to H.261 and G.728 on the MGC.
The caps exchange shows that, with no success. All show high r and l-sync loss.
I will have to get back to you with the MGC rev.
With regards the 4500, I'm not in a position to upgrade them as yet, but a firmware cartridge could prove useful..Thanks for the offer.

What version of software are you using on the Concorde. If it is TOO old, it doesn't even support Standards.... That "Could" be the problem you are having...

Welp, 6.12.0 should be standards compliant. There is a 6.3 and 6.5 out there...
Gary Miyakawa
Steve,
version 6.12.xx was one of the last full releases with large deployment and complies to the standards, the later versions 6.30 & then 6.50 will more than likely need your 4500 hardware upgrading to benefit from these releases. (Probably need the 30fps board and option and another HAP board).
Have you yet tried forcing the video and audio modes from the 4500 as mentioned earlier within this post, I think you may be surprised with the results.
