Cisco 1601 router interface down

Hello
I have a Cisco 1601 router conected to a MAX 3000 imux and can't seem to get the serial interface to show up. I was told that I had to make a connection with a remote site and still the status did not change. I am connected with a T1. This system works going to a Tandgerg 7000 but I can't get the system to work with the cisco router. Any sudgestions?

I'm assuming you mean you have the IMUX connected to ISDN.. and then serial from that to the Cisco Router.. to get IP to the codec?

Do you know Cisco IOS, are you sure of your router config? You also need to configure your IMUX properly in terms of call control.. IE when it will make the calls, etc. That is usually tied to the call signalling lines, which coming out of Cisco I'm sure are not going to be friendly to 'call triggered'. If you wanted this IMUX to stay online all the time, it may be an option, but still a complicated way of doing it.

What are you trying to achieve.. can't help without more details.
