Need IP Test End-Point

Hi,

I'm doing some testing of our Polycom V500. I have tested over ISDN from our office and on our internal LAN, but we have been asked if the unit will perform well enough ocer ADSL. So........is there anyone with an end-point on IP that I could dial and have a quick conference with. Just need to so if the unit performs. Not bothered about the far codec being H.264 as the client has VS 512 in situ in most of their offices.

Polycom (along with virtually all the other vendors) list test site addresses (video test numbers) on their website. You might take a look there !

I can get end points to dial to (Polycoms don't seem to work, Aethra are empty rooms), but I'd like to speak to someone just to check out exactly how the unit is performing. I have spoken to Polycom, but unless it is a customer demo,they don't want to bother. However, I'm not willing to bring a customer in to see it unless I'm sure it will work.

Yup. In the UK. Our office is based in Manchester, but Im'm testing this at home so am in Warrington. I'm only on BT Broadband, but the dial in tests to static sites have been good and I haven't had any dropped packets even dialing at 256, so would like to see the system running with somebody at the other end to see if the video and audio hold up.
