Gateway and H.239

This may sound like a newb question, and I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I thought the gurus here at VTCTalk would know for sure: If I'm using a gateway and I expect to use H.239/DuoVideo/People+Content, does my gateway need to support the protocol? I know MCUs do, but I'm not sure about gateways.

Yes, the H.323/H.320 gateway products must support the protcols you intend to use. That includes all video, data, and audio protocals. So a low-end gateway can reduce the quality even if the endpoints support much higher.
