Hi all:
I have a IP network's Video conference project. The customer want MCU can support 2Mbps 4 windows CP function.
Does anyone know Which MCU can support it?
Does 2Mbps CP must used HW MCU?

Please give me advice, Thank you!

You just need to look at www.codian.com (http://www.codian.com) for those specifications.

mnxu,

Our guys here locally had a chance to test the Codian 4210. Those stats are correct.

I think the tandberg MPS will do that.. as well as their new embedded MCU as well on the 6000.

What's the max rate on the accord CP? I thought with highbit rate enabled you could do those higher speeds in CP? Or is it limited at like 1.5meg?

my beef about the codian specs is those capacities are at CIF resolution only. If you start doing things like custom formats, or at least 4CIF, those numbers plunge.

Personally, I couldn't live without PC resolutions anymore.. thats what drives me nuts about the Accord.. and the prospect of the codian. (I have not used the codian myself outside of demos)

Trapehziod is quite right. The Codian MCU does use up 2 ports for each 4CIF participant, and it allows a mix of 4CIF and CIF in the same conference.

Since the cost per port of a Codian is less than a quarter of any one else out there when doing 2 mb/s video that means its still better value than any other product for this functionality.

You didn't say how many ports of 4CIF CP you needed at 2mbs. The Codian has a 20 port and a 40 port (that is 10 port and 20 ports if everyone is doing 4CIF).

William, again.. what about PC resolutions? My reference to 4CIF was just to illustrate that even at the smallest step up.. (and nearly everyone supports 4CIF without much issue now) things aren't the same.

The only other format that matters is PC resolutions.
