Polycom 6.0 Software Eval

Has anyone upgraded a Polycom FX unit to the 6.0 software release yet? Any initial comments?

I've upgraded two units to 6.0.1 and so far they are working. The only problem I noticed was that when I tried to add an endpoint (another FX) while in a ISDN call the machine rebooted every time.

I don't know if this is a bug with this update or if it would have always done this. I normally added the second endpoint via the web interface but this one day I was at the location so I figured I'd just connect using the remote.

It still works fine adding the second endpoint via the web though. Go figure.

as you mention it...i have experienced too and on VS's as well. they now seem very sensitive when trying to perform remote tasks..getting call logs and such. doing a lot of controls remotyely and seeing the system drop off scares me because I fear that sooner or later....they wont come back up and the system is fried. Otherwise, they have been doing fine.

Update to previous post...

I just rolled one of the FX machines back to 5.1 as it was rebooting WAY too often. After rolling back the reboots are gone and the connections are able to be made directly from the FX without using the web interface.

It's beginning to look like this is an update to avaoid.
