Is anyone currently using any of the home telemedicine devices that allow a patient to take their vitals and upload them to a secure server for the physician to check? We are looking and I am have difficulties finding a system that is easy to use for the elderly. AMD is coming next week, but I was wondering if anyone has had experience with any systems that just knock their socks off?

We are looking at the AMD solution right now. I think it uses the device you suggested in tandem with a touchscreen for vitals input... Looks very promising. Ease of use is of primary concern at this point.

I work for a health facility and we use home monitoring for our rural areas in the Pensacola, FL area. We are also looking at various systems AMD provides for our medical staffg to use throughout all our locations...Florida, Delaware, NJ and Pennsylvania...AMD seems to have everything. Let me know how your research turns out.

How was your AMD evaluation? We designed a solution for a Large nursing home group using various solutions deploying H.324, H.323, and H.320 codecs/devices. As they (the client) wanted the monitoring to take place in their patient's homes, obviously bandwidth availability, ease of use and installation, moves-adds-changes, training and support were all critical pieces of the total system. If you would like to discuss further, please feel free to email me.
