Finally. I've been battling with this old Cisco MCM box all night, but I think I finally have it up. If this works it should come in handy for those of you who have ever changing IP addresses. Here is the info:

IP address: 68.50.225.125

1> If you wish to log in and check to see who is registered, you will need to telnet into the unit (68.50.225.125).

2> Now you will be asked for a password. The password is: vtctalk

3> At the prompt type: sh gatek end

4> You will then see the list of everyone who is registered, complete with the name of their endpoint, IP address, and E.164 address.

Here is an example.

User Access Verification

Password: vtctalk
VTCTALK>sh gatek end

Total number of active registrations = 2

*** In order to prevent conflicts, I recommend everyone use a unique E.164 address, such as your phone number. If you are hesitant about using your own phone number, then I recommend you use the number of your local pizza delivery. Hopefully there are not two of you out there who get pizza from the same place. :D If you already have an E.164 address you use, then go ahead and try using it.

Post any problems under this topic. The gatekeeper is located on the east coast of the US, so I am interested to see if people on the west coast and overseas can register.

I have registered our demo MCU with the Gatekeeper - so feel free to make multipoint calls through it - or just have a play!

If you want to create Adhoc conferences or join a ready scheduled one you can call into 4082876628 if you are registered with the gatekeeper or use our ip 64.71.128.186. This will dial you into an "Auto-attendant" where you can use far end camera control or DTMFs to create or join a conferece - just follow the audio instructions.

Once in a conference - try using your far end camera controls again, to change your layout and who you are viewing within that layout.

Also you can get to the MCUs web interface at http://demo.codian.com

I have created a "user" account:

username: vtctalk
password: vtctalk

This will allow you to navigate much of our web interface, create conferences, invite/call endpoints into a conference, send text messages to conference participants, watch streaming versions of conferences and much, much more!

More information of how to use it can be found on http://www.codian.com and http://www.codian.com/demo

Let us know what you think!

From time to time we may register with different gatekeepers for testing purposes - so if you can't dial in - please try later.

Also - FYI - the Demo unit is co-located in San Jose, I am over in the UK - all seems to work fine with the gatekeeper over on the East Coast! Don't you just love IP!

Kevin,

I want to thank you for registering your Cordian bridge with the VTCtalk gatekeeper. I just got out of a bridge call with William from your California office and am extremely impressed with your product. I will create a new thread this evening and will write a "first impression" review. All of the engineers here who took part of the demo are in agreement that we need to get our hands on a demo unit as soon as possible, so I will be driving our people to set one up. Again, thank you for the experience.

Michael

Glad you like it :D

If you or anyone else has any questions about how to use it or its capabilities feel free to email me.

In the mean time Vtctalk users - please use it!

This is a great forum for us all to learn a lot about each other, new products and just generally make the video conferencing world a great place ;) - and what better way than meeting and chattting on a Video bridge!
