First, I think your talkin about ver 7.0.1 and are you turning on the Visualconsert?

If so try tuning it down you computur to 800x600 60hz res and see how that works, tough the unit should never reboot when the rez is to high.

I’ve not seen any problems with the 2nd camera input. Is the signal coming out of the camera ok when you plug it into a monitor? If so then it sounds like you might have something going on with that 7000 unit. It almost sounds like some sort of weird power issue; I’d suggest swapping out the unit.

See if your visualizer is the same video standard as your codec. If it differs you get this problem. If your vsx 7000 is a pal unit then your visualizer should be a pal ,cant be an ntsc.Hope this helps

Ashok is right, the external video input should always be of the same standard as the integrated camera, whether is the external video source is a VCD player, VCR, Visualiser/document camera etc. Otherwise there are bound to be problems. From what I have seen, in such cases the video is not displayed properly and some times it is jumping and in Black & white, but I have not encountered freezing video.

Try to switch the 2nd camera from motion to sharpness or the other way around, which ever is set at the moment. The VSX systems are barley a year old so it might be a bug, you might want to start a case at Polycom. I've been having problems with the PIP disappearing after about 20 min myself

You are correct this is a problem with that version of software. I have seen it as well. If you are on main cam and you switch to one of the other video inputs the system freezes. This happens whether or not you are in a call. I have contacted Polycom and they are aware of the issue. They said it should be resolved in the next software release. They suggested a temporary fix but we tried it and it didn't work so unfortunately you will have to wait for the next rev of software.
