Hi. I am setting up a small vc facility in London, UK. It is needed for a non-profit educational project, therefore used equipment is needed. The project will deliver education from London teachers to classes in third-world countries, using facilities and connection donated by companies in those countries.
The facility will accommodate up to 6 people around the table, but mostly one or two. It should be capable of document camera, PC, two monitors, at least 384 ISDN and as much IP as possible. At the other end it will connect with all kinds of cameras and connections, so versatility and reliablity are very important.
In my other post on VTCtalk I receiced many generous replies from other members with suggestions of what system mights be suitable. It looks like the best one would be Tandberg 880, 990, 2500, 6000 or Polycom 512, EX, FX, VS4000. Maybe other...
I have no idea what large companies do with outdated equipment, but if you'd like to sell or donate :ponder: one of these systems which is no longer needed please let me know. I am trying to buy from eBay but it looks like it's a bit of a gamble, so I thought VTC community could have the right stuff too. Thank you. Stas Spector
