Hello!
Does anyone know of any Video over IP Desktop codecs running on a MAC OS?
Polycom, Tandberg, Vcon?
Thanks in advance!

Not quite sure if this fits, but we use a platform agnostic application from a company called Marratech. It does Windows, MAC and Linux with no problem. Check them out online.

Robertk is correct, Marratech whilst being a great product (the audio is excellent), is not H.323 compatible, it is built on SIP.

Is it?
My understanding is that it was a total mess of free code from various internet projects, such as the MBONE project and others.
Maybe they have tried to do something using standards nowadays.

I was informed by a Marratech representative at a trade show that it was SIP. I have not checked the accuracy of this statement. However this pretty much means that it won't work with anything else until there are standards put in place for true SIP interoperability.

As a Marratech representative I would like to give you an update on Marratech and H.323 support.
The fact is that Marratech has on April 14th 2005 announced a software option to the Marratech server software that will support connections to H.323 end-points and/or 3rd party H.323 MCUs.
The Marratech H.323 integration has recently been demonstrated at the Wainhouse Research CSP Summit and Conferencing4Business in Berlin. See:
http://www.marratech.com/release_archive/h323.html
More detailed info on the H.323 support will be posted on the Marratech web site over the next couple of weeks before it will be made available to the public.
Best regards

I would like to add that Marratech indeed supports SIP as well. It is packaged under a Dial Out service for inclusion of normal phones into e-meetings.
If you have any further questions regarding Marratech and H323 or SIP feel free to post them here.
And to answer the original question, Marratech has full support on MacOSX, Linux and Windows.
