Would any of you have experience with very robust, safe cameras that can be accessed remotely? I'm working on a project that involves fitting out a fairly hazardous environment (oil rig) with cameras and videoconferencing equipment. Ideally, we're looking for wireless cameras that can be run over IP and then served by some sort of video server. We would then like to view the images from a place away from the rig site, possibly over the network (IP).
Wireless is preferred, but any solution would be fine.
Thanks... :D

I have worked with a company called Video Next. They are based in Virginia, just outside of Washington D.C. They have an outstanding solution for video/voice over IP surveillance. http://www.videonext.com

Thanks for the link Gary. I've been looking for economical weather proof cameras, and it looks like these guys have a few.

Also, if you like R/C (Radio Control) stuff, you might want to look around their website. It's the cheapest I've seen in the US.

That's old news... I did a wireless camera on an RC Car back in 1992... 1/10 scale on road transmitting on channel 18... Worked great!
