I was thinking about taking advantage of that Codian MCU and having a conference call so some of us can meet face to face. Anyone interested in setting a date/time for a conference in the near future?

I'd be interested, but at this time all I got is a PicTel SwiftSite at 2x64, ISDN....Can someone tie me in?

You can include me, provided I am in the office at the time.

You know what.....I think I just may be able to hook you up. I have a Radvision gateway I need to hook up next week. I can use you as my test. :D

What about tentatively figuring on next Thursday? Let's just say it's an all day thing so people can dial in whenever they get a chance. I will try to hook up a gateway next Wednesday to use for the conference. I may only have access to 2 BRIs however.

Depending on the time, I could also potentially provide a bit of ISDN to IP connectivity if needed. Please contact me directly to set this up. BTW Entropy, what time on next Thursday are you thinking of?

I am on the east coast, and should be in the office all day, so I am flexible. I would say around lunch time, but with everyone scattered all over the world.....who's lunch time? If only people in the US take interest, then maybe we can figure on 1 or 2 pm eastern time?

Don't make it too late... Otherwise us UK guys will feel all left out.. :P
1pm East coast time sounds ok though!

I should be around unless I get a quick job. For future reference, we should call them "GetToGethers" (GTG for short)... GTG implies we MIGHT get some work done (yeah, right).... A Party is... just that... A party...

I think I can manage 2 BRI lines. So 2 users will probably have to go 128K. We also only have 768k on our IP trunk, so I have to take that into consideration. I should be able to handel 2 128k ISDN users. I will sign up George and tjulian. Tom9933 said he might be able to help out if anyone else is stuck with ISDN.

Is this going to become one of those kinky online dating services?!!! I'd love to attend but can't make it for this one. Would love to attend the next GTG...

We can always do it earlier right? If we knock it back to 9AMEST/8AM Central US, that's 12PM afternoon in the UK. The only thing is people are usually busy around that time of the morning but if we add it to our schedule like a work event, we may be able to manage it.

OK.....I set up a gateway this morning. I only have one BRI at the moment (should have 2 for next Thursday), and hopefully no one here at the office will steal it back today. I have it set up with the default extension of the MCU. The ISDN number is: 3013224512 You should then automatically get routed to the MCU VTCtalk conference. Give it a shot and let me know if you have problems.

I get a "Far End Hung Up" when I dial it.....but it could be this boat anchor sitting on top of my TV....:D
I won't be able to participate Thursday anyways....I'll be on vacation.....
But I'll still keep testing if you want me to.
Thanks

We may well be able to set up a gateway so we can dial out to people who want to join via ISDN.
Let me know you numbers and I'll see if I can sort it out for Thursday.
Have we decided on a time yet? Later in the day (UK time) is better for me..

I was thinking about 11:00 AM or 12 PM eastern standard time. This would be 4-5PM for our UK friends, and 8 or 9AM for our friends on the west coast. Let me know if that works for everyone. George, I have you taken care of for ISDN.

Talk to Tom9933. He may be able to help you out. I only have 1 BRI which is kind of dedicated to George at the moment.

Was good to meet some of you guys yesterday!
For those who didnt make it feel free to call the Codian MCU and see if anyone is just hanging around - lets make it a communal meeting place!
I've had to register our MCU with a customers gatekeeper so they can test a new version of software so you cant dial in directly.
However, still feel free to use the MCU. Just call in using its IP (64.71.128.186) to enter its Auto-attendant, then set your endpoint to Far End camera control. Use up and down to highlight the conference you want to join and then use right to join it.
Alternatively once in the Auto-attendant you can dial DTMFs to either create a new conference or join one that is already created (dial 333# to join the vtctalk chat conference).

OK well I'm sure you all wanted to meet the man behind the curtain yesterday. Sorry I missed the call but things got pretty hectic here and the room I had set aside for the meeting got snatched away like candy from a baby.
How many attendees did we have? When's the next one? I'd like to talk to you all about a few ideas I have for the site and get a few live reactions. If we can let's schedule something far out enough that everyone can lock it into their calendars.

I'll have a new ISDN circuit in my office in Mid July. This would be a great testing opportunity.
