I know I'm responding to a year old message, but I just got on this site. The pdf file says that it is protected and I need a document password. I tried opening it and also saving it and then opening - both gave the same message. Does anyone know the password?

How current is the study guide? The Polycom esupport site re: exam does not mention HTML or ecommerce content. Can you explain why the study guide has questions re: these topics? :confused:

The study guide is representative of the questions on the exam I took in December. The polycom site is pretty lame when it comes to the questions on the exam. Now I have heard that the test has changed, but that may be just a rumour.

The study guide is not certified by Polycom. I know this because the Polycom trainer told me so. It's a few questions from the polycom CVE exam and mainly questions from one of the CISCO exams, The cve course doesn't go into as much depth as those questions make out.

As for the course being updated I was told the revised date is the 31st August 2005.

I'm to take my exam next week to head down, revision this weekend.

Hi, I have to do exam cve, but it is changed the last 2 weeks, is's now 1K0-002 exam, with new questions, more IP,SIP and HD, does anyone have some new exam questions for me.... There are even new questions not mentioned in the training from polycom!!!

I just took the CVE (and passed) without taking the Polycom class. I wanted to be somewhat familiar with the test so I downloaded that 110 question link and thankfully I only used it for practice. DO NOT STUDY FOR THIS TEST! The CVE only had about 7 questions on it that were from this test. You need to know SIP, H.323 and other assorted info so please do not go in there having memorized this test. In fact, since it is one of those brain dumps about 20 of the questions are from a CompTIA test. You'll know because since when does a VC tech have to know Meta tags and other website specific info?

This is a guide to the old CVE test. I took the new test recently, and this guide covered maybe 4 questions.

The first time I took the exam I got a 63 (I was so pissed). The second time I took the exam the feel was much different. I didn't recognize a single question. I did pass the second time, but at the end of the exam I was pretty certain I failed.

The test is hard.
Just study everything that has to due with H.320, h.323, audio, video and memorize every ITU standard and thier annexes. Than make sure you understand how they all play together and you should do ok.

I think it's 65 percent of the 83 questions not 65 out of 83 to pass. I recently took it and I got 67 percent,I bleed on those ITU standard type of questions and like you, I am pretty sure that I failed the exam, but got lucky and I passed it.

I used this study guide to take the exam and the actual CVE exam is no where near this test. I actually failed of course but....like the last post mentioned....study the H.300's , video, audio and the ITU standards and it will be much easier.
