Check out the link to the new MCU from Tandberg. I hear that PRI and Serial blades may be available later in the year. I can't wait to get my hands on this baby, and I am very excited about the possibility of serial connectivity.

Im defintely liking the look of this!!
We have a Tandberg MCU which is enabled for 16 Video + 16 Audio call's and have reached capacity a few times. Videoconferencing is on the increase here so I can see a need for something like this in the next year or so.
Its not going to be cheap though!!

Does anyone know how easy it would be to run two Tandberg MCU's together and have some kind of comunication betwen them, or would they just have to operate seperately?

Cheers

If you front end the products with TMS, TMS will handle the reservation of the necessary ports for each conference. In other words, both will run on your network and be transparent to the user when scheduling.

Sean,
Agreed the resource allocation and routing management of TMS is what all management systems should be doing.

What´s the status on TMS 9? Any documentation.

Thanks, thats a help, although right now we are not using TMS to make MCU bookings, just room bookings.
I can see this changing soon though as we are upgrading the Server that TMS runs on and are looking to increase its useage, mainly for monitoring purposes.

Thanks

TMS 9 is on track to be available in July in accordance with our announcement at Infocomm in June. Documentation will be available upon public release.

So we're talking transparent cascading here correct?

TMS can certainly cascade the TANDBERG MCUs together, however I think that need will be rare with a MCU the size of the MPS.
