Hi!!!! I come from RELIANCE INFOCOMM which is India's No. 1 Private company which has just bfore some time taken over FLAG telecom of US .We have a MGC 100 VIdeoBridge which caters to the video conferencing demands.Weare going to buy pathnavigator which is with us on a trial basis.I wanted to use its enhanced features like IP to ISDN routing .When enquired with polycom they have asked me to configure the gateway services on the MGC.Also in the PN you have got an option to add the Gateway whose IP address i do not know since it is integrated with the MGC itself. How can i get the IP to ISDN call routing working.Following are the configurations i have done on the PN.It is in the routed mode which is a pre-requisite.Other then that do i need to do anything on the PN.All of youm ,please try it out at your end and let me know.

I believe you do have the documentation of the MGC and the PathNavigator?
You need to configure all GW services on the MCU. There are two GW possibilities. IP to ISDN and ISDN to IP. Every service needs to get a prefix. Note these prefixes, cause you will need them to configure PathNavigator.
In PatNavigator you enter for each GW service an entry under the tab "Configuration Serices Gateway&MCU" with the corresponding prefix. It is important to enter a * in the field "Insert between prefix and first number:".
When you have done this you need to modify the registration of the MCU in the section "Monitor Endpoints" Mark the MCU ynd click on "edit". In the pop up window you need to add all Gateway prefixes as E.164 aliases.
Do not worry about the IP adress of the GW. It is the same as the MCUs H.323 blade.
I hope this will help a bit, but additional info is available in the documentation.

Thanks Tom for the information you gave me regarding the MCU gateway.Well all that you told , i am aware of and i am going to do the same as mentioned by you ,but my only question is by doing this much would me alternate routing work and will my calls get routed on an ISDN number if at all my IP line drops.
I came to know about the gateway sharing the same address as the H.323 Blade from you and thank you for letting me know that ,as i was always confused. You know what; the documentation that they have given on Path Naviator is really pathetic as they dont explain the main things :o .I dont know which version of the documentation we have with us, but i know that much that it is really NOT GOOD.They dont explain as to how the call routing happens in case of a Multi Point VC with the MGC registered with the Path navigator, how does the call request go through the Path navigator when in a normal Multi point VC???????
Well that is it from my side for the time being, will keep u posted in the future.
Guys if at all you have anything relevant on my queries feel free to put it down here.
take care and njoi life.
