I am looking into methods of remotely updating the global address books on Polycom endpoints. Can anyone offer any advice?
Many Thanks

My first suggestion is to sweat talk your sales rep to see if you can be on the next version Beta group. I know there will be a new Address book utility for the next release.
You could play a bit with Telnet and the abk command if you are daring...

You need to just "play" with it in Telnet. Start with an older VS and see how it works... Then try the same stuff on a VSX.

Polycom offers the addressbook tool on their webpage. just follow this link and scroll down to the bottom of the page until you find software tools. Click on "adressbook maintenance utility. A new window will open and you have finally reached the Polycom Resourc Center. To download the software you need to have an account, but you can create one yourself, to login and get what you need. All the latest S/W is available from this page.

I am sure this will support ViewStations but I do not know if it supports the VSX yet. If it does not you can register for the beta program in Polycom, just ask your local Sales rep from Polycom or from the reseller you are purchasing the products from.
Enjoy

Actually found the utility on the Polycom Resoure Centre. Just go to Downloads - VSX7000 and you'll find it at the bottom.
As an aside, as well as the VSX7000 and 3000, this utility also works with the V500.
