I work for an orginzation which has a Polycom MGC 100 running sw version 6.00.65 and MGC Mananger 6.00.107. I've noticed a rather serious problem as of the last couple of months in which reservations i have scheduled in the future are deleting themselves. Fortunately for me i've been able to realize when one is missing having avoided scheduling another meeting on top of one that deleted itself. Thus getting it rescheduled to avoid angry end users.

I can not find any paramaters or coorilation to the meetings that delete themselves. We are running WebCommander for our scheduling software but schedule in MGC Manager as well. Conferences are all CP with Video and Audio algorithm set to Auto, number of end points varies from 2 to 15. I've had reservations with 2 sites delete itself and reservations with 15 sites delete themselves. I've had a set of recurring meetings delete themselves as well as individual ones. I'm the only one with access so no one is playing a dirty trick on my by deleting them. :classic: Polycom support says they've not heard of this problem before and the only thing they can recommend is upgrading to 6.02.4. I'm skiddish to upgrade because of all of the bugs we ran into upgrading from 5 to 6. So i guess two questions, has any one expirienced this? Is anyone running 6.02.4 that can give me feedback on it's bugs, etc...

Your help is appreciated.

Most of my clients are running 6.02 with minimal issues (speed of response from MGC Manager being the most frequent complaint)...

It would be interesting to "backup" the reservations every night and then when you see one that is missing, go see if you can find a common failure.

I did have a customer with 6.02 have a malformed reservation that we never did figure out how it got there... We just deleted it and went on...

Are you running XPE or PSOS ?

XPE

I thought i had figured a common link was that they were scheduled in WebCommander until today when i came in...one of them that went missing was scheduled via MGC Manager.

we've been using MGC100 four over 4 years in every software version and I've never seen a reservation go missing. But then we didn't experience any bugs going from 5 to 6. Well, no new bugs anyway ;)

Could the hard drive be starting to "fail" ??? I have seen a MGC loose a harddrive before...

I sure hope that's not the case...we'd be up a creek without a paddle  At this point i find it hard to believe it's a software issue, if that was the case i would think someone else would be expiriencing the same issue and Polycom would have record of it.

I've been running 3 MGC-100's for almost 5 years and have never had a reservation delete itself. Sounds like a very interesting gremlin you may have. Open a tix with Polycom, if you haven't already. Even if they can't resolve your problem, it is documented.

A ticket has been turned in for several months now. Polycom has no idea, the worst part is more and more reservations are deleting themselves as time goes on. It is very interesting to say the least. :devious:
