Hello, I'm looking for audio streaming software. We are a Civil Engineering laboratory and are currently streaming live, low-latency video from our lab. We are looking to add streaming audio to this for sounds from an experiment (ambiance) and commentary about the testing being done. Our requirements are:
1. Low-latency audio streaming. Our video is streamed near real-time so we would like our audio to be loosely sychronized with it, but tight synchronization is not required. Just best effort low-latency will be enough.
2. A player that can be embedded in a web page with minimal software to install. We would like this to be a java applet that can receive and play the audio.
3. Support for all major browsers including IE and Mozilla based browsers.
4. The ability to stream to 50-100 listeners at once.
5. Recording of the audio stream by the encoder or server for playback at a later date.
Does anyone know of a software package that can do this?
Thanks, Jason
