Im newbie when it comes to crestron and I need som help.

Im currently setting up a crestron controler to control a meeting room with an iPower in it. I got everything working fine except for the internal MCU.

Normaly when you dial out manualy with an internal MCU on the iPower there is a small box you need to check that allows aditional sites to be called.

I cant find any command like that in the iPower Programers guide and the only thinga I found that comes close to it is the "Dial_MCU" command

But when I tried replacing the the standard dial string "ldm" with a "Dial_MCU" nothing happens.
I can see when I compare the two command that "bandwith", "connection type" and few other things are missing.

So can any one tell me what I need to do to call many sites using a Crestron?

Skylark,

Do you have the iCP Programmers guide (5.3.0) ? It lays out the dialing pattern that has to be used to make it all work pretty well (Page 25/26/27). I have not personally tried it, but I can if you need me to. I've got a small QMRMC and both a 900 and 600 here to test with.

Let me know and good luck !

Ok, I'll try to build a little application this weekend with my Crestron and try to make some bridge calls. I have an idea of what it might be but I want to test it first. I'll post here when I have news (good or bad).

Skylark,

I just tested it with 6.0.1 iPower software and got the same results you did. I sent "x02Dial_MCU172.16.1.46ex04" and got back the "awf" (call failed). I looked thru the systemlog and diagnostic logs for iPower and found the command had been accepted by the code and the IP address was parced out correctly but at that point, the call fails with a "Can't connect to the network" failure.

I'm going to call Polycom support monday and submit a ticket on it, I suggest you do the same too.

SUCCESS !!!!

Ok, I upgraded my iPower 900 to 6.2 (don't know if that had ANYTHING to do with the problem).

Used the command "Dial_MCU172.16.1.44" string.. Even though the book (iCP) says to use the "e" as a terminator, DON'T !!! It just messes things up.

Give it a try ! (and I'm hopefull they will correct the book!)
