We are using the gatekeeper on our Radvision L2W-323 for H.323 calling to our Tandberg systems. It works okay for all of our systems except one. We can dial from that system (a Tandberg 880) to other systems using the E.164 alias but we can not dial the other direction using the alias. Both the codec and the gatekeeper seem happy: the codec sees itself as being registered and the gatekeeper sees the codec. The codec is configured the same as all our other endpoints and the network seems to be happy. Does anyone have any ideas about where to look next?

I have seen this happen a few times especialy when you have a newer confrencing unit.
The problem porbly is that the VC is trying to connect to the gatekeeper on a port that its not listnening to.
If you telnet into the gatekeeper and look at the registry request coming from the VC (that isnt geting in) you can see on witch port its trying to connect.
If you then go into the gatekeeper settings and create the unit there manuly (predefined) you can set in the port number the gatekeeper is supose to listen to when its connecting.

Have you tried Telnet'ing into the RV L2W and watching the log messages as the call is being attempted? That may give you the clues you need to isolate the problem.
