Anyone had any experience with the Videoserver/VTEL/Ezenia MCS? More to the point, I am trying to install an Etherlink III card into one of my MCUs and am getting a BPUDEVDV error once the MCS software loads. The card installs and works just fine in the OS2 portion of the load but for some reason the MCS program doesn't like it. I have successfully installed it into three other MCS. The main difference here, is this box has slightly more cards than the others. Any thoughts would be grealy appreciated.

Sheesh...they are still around? I remember my week long technician class I took when I worked for VTEL quite a while back...what a "bear"...I may have some tech notes laying around at work but my immediate suggestion to you would be to seek a more "involved" tech since have been away from that one for so long. I can recommend the help of my service provider (which happens to be the core group I was a part of when we under VTEL). Im an end user, a customer of theirs now and am in communication with them all the time. send me an email with the specifics and I will see what I can do about getting some help for you.

Check the config for the BPU cards on the MCU, one BPU-card might have the same IRQ or MEMORY address as the Etehrlink III card. Remember this is ISA based cards, not as flexible as PCI cards, so you have to set upp all this parameters by hand :)

Actually the ethernet card takes over one of the com ports so no conflict with BPU's. But thanks, that was my first thought as well

its a expansion ISA bus.. IRQ conflicts aren't nearly as simple as a regular PC.. since its complaining about BPUs.. I'd check the dipswitches for what they are set for. if you don't have a manual.. you're pretty screwed.
With all the revisions of hardware and changes they had.. past experience with other MCUs doesn't mean much unfortunatly :(
Also.. if I remeber right.. are you at the correct minimum level to support ethernet.. I forget when it came.. but that had limitations too
