For some reason all of our calls over our Polycom ViewStations-H.323 dialing by IP are dropping every 10 minutes! HELP! Any idea what could be causing this? I've searched and searched for a setting on the gatekeeper and on the GMS and I don't see any settings that would be causing this. Any ideas would be fabulous!

have you checked to see what the max time in call field on the codec is set to?

I do not know where to check this, everything I look at does not show a max time setting. The more digging I did I printed out the call detail report and there are tons of call durations more than 10 minutes, some in excess of 2 hours, I am thinking it is not a setting. This is obviously an intermittent problem.

is it happening with all your codecs, or is it with specific locations? Have you upgraded your firewall at all? Maybe there is a time out field on that which has defaulted to something different?

Take a look at the 'Two Hour Timeout.....' thread. It may help solve your problems.... "have found a timeout value in the PIX firewall that was causing the calls to drop. It was the H225 timeout. After disabling this by setting it to zero the calls continued past the 2 hour point..."

Are any sites on a cable modem? There is a discussion over on broadbandreports about cable modems timing out.
