Hi - I'm new to the site, I talked to Gary Miyakawa after seeing some posts about InfoComm from last year, and he suggested I post some info on InfoComm 05, which you may attend or at least know about.

InfoComm 05
Las Vegas Convention Center
Conference: June 4-10
Exhibition: June 8-10

Registration is opening shortly, and as in the past couple of years we are planning a number of activities geared to conferencing.
I told Gary we could work out a special promotional incentive for VTCTalk members who want to attend classes, like a two-for-one deal, as well as a free pass to the exhibition floor.

Anyway, this is just preliminary, I can post more info later. Feel free to respond here or e-mail me at twalsh@infocomm.org.

Hello Taly, and welcome!

I got your private message and I will respond shortly with my phone number so we discuss it in further detail. I look forward to seeing whatever inside info you can provide us on the upcoming events :).

I will also ensure the events you've listed are added to our calendar so everyone can get email reminders if they so choose.

Thanks,

George

Just wanted to let you know, registration for InfoComm 05 has opened at www.infocommshow.org. Take a look at the site, it's packed with info about the sessions, events and show floor. Show sponsors are Sony, Polycom, Tandberg, Crestron, Extron and Samsung.

A couple of items to mention: In addition to the many seminars and workshops, there is a "Demystifying DSP Symposium" that's free, topics to be covered are:

Proprietary Solutions – Difficult to Cross-Specify
Systems Design Issues
Programming Issues
Construction Administration: Setup, Checkout
Documentation Issues
Signal Transport Issues

Another item is the Dashboard for Controls: Best Practices in AV Control Panel Design, a free session about guidelines for AV control panel design, presenting templates developed by the Working Group. Using an audience response system, participants can respond to questions and comment on the Dashboard principles and templates.

If you want to take advantage of a 2-for-1 seminar deal, let me know at twalsh@infocomm.org.

I've given this post "Sticky" status :D so it'll remain at the top of the events section for easy finding!

I'll be there but tied to the Polycom booth. Maybe we could find some Blueman trouble one evening ?!?

Gary,

Give Charlie a hard time for me the next time you talk to him. I am apparently more valuable elseware that week http://www.vtctalk.com/images/smilies/lick.gif. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help out those who are going.

Lets see, what's new? Hmmm...some knucklehead flew his little airplane over DC the other day and nearly created WWIII. :)

I'm so glad I wasn't downtown that day. I know one of your SEs is a pilot Sean. Seen him around? http://www.vtctalk.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

They do have the new 2000, 1500, and 150.

Those were all released months ago.

He said 'new'.. and since infocomm is pretty much 'the' show now in the AV/comms space I hoped he was eluding to something new from tandberg at the show

He did elude (he did not tell you anything). I think it is allude.
