Once again I call upon your collective minds of greatness. ;)
Does Adtran make a switch that would replace the Madge Accessswitch 60? The closest I see is a Atlas 550 but that is a bit much for just one site with two vc rooms connected via PRI and a another PRI going out to the PSTN. I would prefer to go with another Adtran product since I am most familiar with them but any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

I'll recommend the Adtran 550 as a good replacement for a Madge 60. We are in the process of replacing a Madge 200 with an Adtran 890 for our video operations.

Cool that is exactly what im trying to get going here also to move everything off our madge 200 onto a atlas 800 which we have had all ready for a few years now. I would be interested in knowing how your transion goes and if you encountered any problems as such.

Slimey, we run our production network in North America of multiple Adtran 890 units. They work great.

Well at the main hub here i am having a problem dialing out and reciving calls from the PSTN with our PRI on the Atlas 800 where as the Madge 200 does it with no problems. The config looks good on paper and on the atlas 800 i dont get it must be something i am missing in the settings somewhere.
oh btw check for those new software releases for the atlas everynow and then good stuff / bug fixes :)

Did you have to change and of the Delay values in system.cfg on the mgc-100? The problem im finding now is when the accord tells the atlas to disconnect the calls may take 10 seconds to show disconnected on the manager for the accord then on the atlas 800 the user side of the accord some of the ds0's go into restart mode back to active, etc, etc. This may happen for 5 minutes before a timer in the atlas expires and drops all ds0 from restart/active to idle. It dosnt happen everytime either every now and then but no more calls will be processed untill that timer expires and all the ds0's clear. It's almost like there is a disconnect supervision problem somewhere on the accord and i see no options in the system.cfg or elsewere to try and delay the disconnect sequence on the accord.
Plus i talked to a enginner at adtran about the problem and he said in the 800 Plus model and up they added a Enable/Disable B Channel Restarts, but said i shouldnt be having these kind of problems and we are currently looking to find the cause.
