My Polycom FX cameras and Sony Desktop PCS-TL50 cameras both have H.264 and AES encryption.
When I make a call between 2 FX camera, both the H.264 and AES work fine.
When I make a call between 2 PCS-TL50's, the H.264 works fine, but when I try to use the PCS-TL50's AES, it get an error, "far side does not support enryption" Per Sony's support, thier AES is only compatabile w/ a select few of there Video system, PCS1, PCS11 ...
1) Does any one know if/ when Sony is going to provide a fix for thier systems that will allow them to make AES call to the rest of the world?
Also, the PCS-TL50 has an internal MCU option. It will allow up 6 connection, 10 cascaded. However, when the MCU is used for a call, the Video reverts to a H.263 call, rather than H.264.
2) Any one w/ knowledge if/ when SONY is going to develop an MCU patch for the PCS-TL50 that will allow H2.64 MCU calls.
Don't know weather I should wait for Sony Patches to make them more interoperable w/ my State wide Polycom Video system, or just drop the Sony's and pick up the Polycom Desktop solution.
Thanks for any suggestion/ info any one can provide.
