Hi,

We have an old polycom viewstation512mp which is about 4 years old.
When you boot it up from cold no video output is sent to the monitor and a clicking/popping noise come from the unit and this is also sent through to the main speakers. This slows down a little after 15 mins then stops all together after another 10 mins. There is still no video output though!

Anyone had this before?

Thanks

Airwave1,

Try swapping out the Power Supply. The "popping" sound could be caused by a bad capacitor leaking DC voltage.

The Polycom power supplies are multiple voltage, this can cause certain operations to function normally (such as the main camera to move) but others to fail. When troubleshooting issues, this is usually a good place to start.

Good Luck
