Has anyone else been having serious connection issues with Digital Video cams on Windows XP? We have found a temporary solution with a third party app, but we are perplexed as to why MS would change this from W2k...

Not a problem here. I use a Sony IP55 all of the time and have had no problems after the proper drivers were loaded. Used it on XP with and without SP2. Check with the manufacturer to see if there are better drivers. Also make sure that Windoze is not forcing it's driver rather than the manufacturers. Also make sure that SP2 is not getting in the way.

I have heard that SP2 boinks many many different things, more harm than good i guess. If it worked fine on W2k and not on XP, I guess that would make sense.

BEFORE you loaded its drivers did you notice it being wonky?
