Does anyone know the standard vidconf package that schools (not colleges) use? I have been reading about alot of elementary and high schools trying new ways of long distance teaching, but havent seen any pictures of them actually doing it.

Most schools I know of use the cheepest form possible, witch usually is a webcam and the supplied software. I guess this would depend heavily on what type of school it is (public, private, specialty etc.)

We are currently working on a project to implement video statewide over IP to elementary and high schools. Each integration has been different. There platforms range from simple webcam with Polycom PVX software to an integrated room system with installed audio. The most common platform I have seen, has been the simple roll-about media cart with set-top codec. This allows the most flexibility for each school.
