rs449 cabling question

Question: RS-449 Cabling to a Tandberg 6000 codec via Kiv 19 encrytor does not include the pins for clocking (timing). (pins on Tandberg cable 11-18). How is the Tandberg receiving data clocking?

If it's not, I would think we would be spilling data on the floor but realistically this design has been in place for over a year (notice I did not say it was working effectively).

You have timing. Someone gave you bad pinouts. The ST and RT pins for RS-449 (DB-37) are 5/23 and 8/26 respective. If you're checking at the Tandberg HD26 end, its 17/18 and 15/16.
