Hi all.

I have problems installing PRI link between my Tandberg 7000 and our "private" Ericsson MD-110 PBX.
The MD-110 will have direct PRI access to public network and we want to establish PRI link between MD-110 and Tandberg also.
But when I switch settings on Tandberg to PRI link (ETSI/Euro), nothing happens after reboot. Just like PRI line isn't recognized.

Cable is ca. 10-20 m long (from PBX to Tandberg.

Tandberg works fine on ISDN BRI lines.

Can anyone help me how to set the codec?
I was searching the manual, but there it says that you just select PRI and type (in my case Euro/ETSI) and number (I guess MSN). I don't know where the problem is.

Thanks for your help.

Case solved.

Our technicians have discovered the problem.
The problem was in wiring!

Very stupid mistake, but took us/them quite a few hours of headache.

It works fine now.

Hi.

I guess you shouldn't have any problems connecing via PRI.

We had a stupid "mistake". If I recall correctly, wires (pins) on PRI cable are not directly one-to-one. I think there are two pins crossed? I'm not sure which.

In PBX (MD110) you must configure PRI (to MGC) as internal line. I believe DSS-1 signalling is used. This I'll check with our technician and maybe get some more info.

It'll work fine! :-)

I got some more info on this.

------------------
DSS1 is a protocol defined by ETSI. The implementation of DSS1 network side makes it possible to connect other equipment supporting the DSS1 user side. The implementation of DSS1 network side is based on the ETSI documents ETS 300 102 and ETS 300 403.

The DSS1 protocol is not a symmetrical protocol i.e. the interface is divided into two sides, one network side and one user side.
The implementation of the network side in ASB 501 gives the possibility to connect other equipment supporting the DSS1 T-interface user side to the ASB 501, i.e video servers other PABX etc.
------------------------

Our Tandberg 7000 is connected as PABX. I guess, MGS will be the same.

Hope this helps.
