How do you add a Madge (with all it's end units) to a MGC100?
Do you create a 2nd network service and put circuit id & numbers there or do you just add it to your current net service? Any explanation of how the routing is handled would be appreciated.

If your Madge switch is connected to the public network and your MGC-100 network service is that same public network, you should be able to reach sites behind your Madge from the MGC. If you want to go directly from your MGC to the Madge and sites behind it, install PRI's between the two and create a new network service on the MGC. For sites behind the Madge, you would change the network service accordingly in the site properties advanced tab.

The simplest way is to NFAS a group of pri's from the accord to the madge (keep this in mind if you have a net8, on the madge i never could get NFAS to work across cards just on one for some reason so i was stuck with using 4 instead of 8) provision one of the cards for however many pris you want to use if you are NFASing dont forget to use a unquie signaling group and start at 0 for line 1, 1 for line 2, etc, create a trunk group on the madge with your accord numbers.
Then on the accord just setup the circuits in the net card config and use unquie circuit ids (if NFAS dont use all the same number) and build the net service for isdn accordingly
hope this helps sorry if it dosnt make much sense it is kinda late ;)

Here is the entire situation:
We are pulling 4 T's from our Lucent Bridge and bringing them over to the MGC Net 8. I was told to have 4 pri crossover cables leaving the Madge going into the other 4 slots on the Net 8. Got that and understand that.
I have gone into Network Services and created a NFAS service and did what was mentioned above with the Master being 0 and slaves 1-3 and put all of our 30 + video numbers in the spans and phones tab. Got that and understand that.
Now, this is where Im still not sure about the Madge part.
Do I in the same NFAS group that I created go back in on the spans and phones tab and create my Madge circuit ID w/ numbers there?
Do I need to create a entirely new network service for the madge?
Do I really need to add a new trunk group on the madge with all video numbers of the bridge?
Thanks so much for helping me understand this a little better.

i took some screen shots so you will have something to follow along with in setting up the madge. first config the qdiu card ports as trunk as shown only the first span will have the D channel and the rest check the channels to see that ds0 24 is enabled for use as a B channel. For all four lines you are going to enable signaling group so the madge will know its a NFAS span and its circuit id. (signaling group must be a number thats not used already)
Example is group id 1, interface id 0 for line one; group id 1, interface id 1 for line two; group id 1, interface id 2 for line three; group id 1, interface id 3 for line four.
Next is to setup the trunk group with the four ports you are using. Click new and give it a name then click on channel map and highlight the four ports you provisioned and click select all and confirm. Then click on outgoing dn qualifiers and all the numbers you want your bridge to accept calls on this dosnt have to be your entire span just numbers you want incoming calls to come into the bridge like on mine i only gave it 6 numbers to accept incoming calls on.
hehe isnt learning on the fly fun hope this helps good luck :P

I cant either the file dosnt download. Maybe it got lost in the move and I dont have the originals anymore. If I rembered what they were i could take them again so what do you need to see?
