Vtel Vista VX-PIs anybody out there running one(or more) of these units? I am looking at upgrading my Galaxy 2.2 labs over the next few fiscal years, and the easiest way to integrate my periferals is to go with a newer Vtel unit.
I can look at pictures, read white papers, and check on any number of other sources. But one thing I've found it's best to always check is what is happening with the people that use something day-to-day. So let me know...good or bad...what you think of these units.

Thanks in advance,

Brad,

Luckily, you have some customers in the local area that have done this same upgrade. R17 recently put in 67 VX-P's and Texas Tech, West Texas A&M did a couple and R5 (not in the local are, but they did 35 units).

Feel free to contact me if you want more details. The upgrade kit is very well put together and includes everything you need to do the upgrade.

P.S. The VX-P still has support for Parkervision, Smartboard, Canon Cameras, Sony Cameras and with a slight modification, the cameras from the SmartTrack system (Smarttrack is not supported). You can also choose Windows XP or Windows 2000.

Thanks copelandjr. I was put in touch with Rex at R17 thanks to you, and it turns out he's an old friend of the "family" around here. He gave us some great info on the units.
Great Forum....hope I can add to the knowledge around here.
