As I looked through the release notes for 7.0, I came across a bit of info about encryption. it seems that if you are not running one of the new MUX + cards you can't encrypt. my MCU is only a year old and I don't want to buy a new MUX card if I don't have to, but I do want to be able to encrypt calls. I currently have a MUX 8 card. do I have to upgrade to one of the new MUX + cards to encrypt. It seems that all MUX cards that are not MUX + cards don't have enough processing power to handle encryption. Also if I do have to get a + card will I also have to buy a third power supply for the MCU to handle the power consumption of the new card.

The Mux+ is required for ISDN AES. The IP+ is required for IP AES.
