Hi all

My name is Pete Moodie and I've been a reader here for a while, and have recently leapt into the fray - so should introduce myself! I have worked in video conferencing at a technical and admin angle for around six years (mostly H.323) and have worked in developing collaborative software since about 1990.

I now work for a New Zealand based company called Ectus which has developed products in both asynchronous web based collaboration (especially in the e-learning field) as well as our flagship product, Ectus MEDIA which is a software tool that acts as an H.323 endpoint, which can record and stream calls (completely transcoding them to native WMP, QT and RN formats on the way), present them for VOD playback through a web browser, and ties them directly into asynchronous discussion and collaboration tools for later annotation, questions, FAQs etc...

My role with the company is as the Customer Service Manager which basically means I manage the tech support and consulting departments. I'm happy to be asked any questions about our products - and I'm not a sales guy - so won't try the "selling thing" :-)

Pete
