Hello to all,
I am currenltly facing some very strange behavior on my Tandberg MCU , v3.5.
Sometimes, my conferences are 'merging' with each other. By this I mean that I have two conferences running on my MCU, most of the time conf 2 and conf 3. Then the conference 3 is finishing. So you just disconnect every room in the conference and click on 'end conference'. And then you have one or two rooms from conference 3 crushing one or two rooms of conference 2. Very annoying, isn't it ? Especially with executives...
The bug sometimes occurs spontaneously when one room disconnect by itself from a conference.
To make the picture complete I'm also using a Radvision ECS Gatekeeper (v3.5.2.5 ), a Tandberg Gateway ( v2.1 ) and a Tandberg TMS (v9.2 , but never used to automaticaly launch conferences ).
My endpoints are mostly Sony 1600, Sony PCS-1P and Tandberg 770 and 880.
If someone has a clue, I'm very interrested indeed.
By the way, a big thank you to the people running this forum, it is very informative, and well made too.

Have you already contacted Tandberg Support on this?

Of course I did. I asked my supplier, plus I discribed the bug directly to Tandberg. For now all I had was a demand for more information and some logs, wich I provided. I have been told that the bug has been reported to Tandberg headquarters. I'm still waiting for a response, but I'm not sure that somebody's met this problem already.
Otherwise I wouldn't post about it anyway...

Hello,
I am not sure who you have contacted withing TANDBERG. But please provide me with the logs and the additional information you have already reported. I will make sure TANDBERG R&D will take a close look at it. We have never experienced this behaviour before. Thanks.

Hi machuky,
I've had the same problems with D3.5 on a variety of endpoints mixing IP & ISDN. I've been working closely with Gordon Milne in TANDBERG tech support, i've produced syslogs etc.. from the MCU for the guys in R&D to look at so hopefully TANDBERG will release a .DOT fix for this pretty soon!
I would recommend downgrading the MCU as i did, the most stable D3.* release i've used is D3.2.

Hello,
sorry it took me so long to respond, I was away from work for a few days...
thank you for your responses , Lars and Darren.
Lars, I have passed on my logs and informations to my Tandberg provider and to Tandberg France, and I'm sure they did pass on the information to Tandberg R&D. I wish all companies are as serious as yours when support is needed. I have to check if things have evolved since then, but thanx for your interrest.
Darren, thank you so much for letting me know that I'm not the only one to face this bug... I can't wait for this bugfix... (and so are the executives from my company ;-) ). Hope Tandberg people will solve this very soon, but I'm confident, knowing the level of support usualy provided.
I 'solved' the problem by letting the conferences run 'forever' on the MCU and letting the rooms disconnect by themselves, and it looks like it's working for now.
But as soon as I use the 'disconnect all' it is bug time again...
Anyway, thank you again to both of you for your interrest.
Machuky
PS : Darren, I have been living in West Yorkshire for one year (Huddersfield ), and I've been in Leeds at least twice a week during this year, and I must say that I enjoyed every minute I spent in this city. Brilliant place.

But it's true that Hudds is really a nice place to live indeed ( I have very good memories of the courthouse pub, I mean when I did remember the night anyway :D )
So hi again to all yorkshire people in this forum, and cheers to the others too,
