I have access to an MGC-100 running version 7. The issue I found was establishing connectivity with various codecs while trying to use the H.264 in each of the three video modes (Trans, VideoSwitch, and CP). So far only VideoSwitching gives me connectivity across the board with the limited end-points I have tested through the bridge. I plan to upgrade the bridge I manage but want to make sure I can offer the H.264 option to as many end-points as possible. Your thoughts.....

I believe H.264 in the MGC requires a video+ card for a Transcoding or Continuous Presence conference. If you don't have video+ cards, H.264 may only work in Video Switching conference.

ditto.. gotta have the correct rev video card to do H264.. plus if you leave the sites in 'auto' they may not connect at h264 depending on various capabilities.

I do have the Video+ cards on the bridge. I did test connectivity with a Tandberg 3000 running code 2.2 with success in regard to H.264. I want to upgrade the MGC-100 to Version 7.0 because I have clients requesting H.264 but I'm a little nervous about the various end-points. Obviously, all end-points can't do 264 so my thought (play it safe) is to cluster the end-points with the bridge video-mode in mind.
