vsx series vga input questions

Does anyone know if the vga input will function as a ordinary input nothing fancy like people+content but about the same i would get as a scanconverter using vga to svideo.

Ex. using a vga splitter to run video to both the computer monitor and vga input on vsx could i just pick the camera source of the vga input?

You have to press the play button on the pod.. but yes you can use selfview to see it out an analog output. But remember your output choices are limited by the output setup of the unit
