We have Tandberg 6000 with B9.0 software. Some of the PCs/laptop formats are not supported. e.g. we connected Toshiba to Tandberg 6000, when pressed pc on the remote control error message came up saying unsupported video format. We tried to change the resolution to 800x600 but still did not work. Did anyone had similar problems? Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

The Tandberg Codec VGA input is not as forgiving on the tolerances for RGB input as a monitor would be.
Try the below steps:
-Try different resoultion AND framerate (see below)
- Try plugging your laptop into a power source. Some laptops graphics card change tolerances/output based on the current power supply.
- Test with a different PC for input (sounds like you already have).
- Reboot the Tandberg Codec (I have seen the Tandberg Codec freeze up on the XGA port if it didn't like the signal).
- It might be your cable, try switching to another one.
- If the above doesn't help, contanct Tandberg technical support.
From the Tandberg user manual.
VGA 640X480 60,72,75,85 HZ
·SVGA 800X600 56,60,72,75,85 HZ
·XGA 1024X768 60,70,75 HZ
We had one Tandberg 6000 that was extremely picky about the VGA source, but an identical Tandberg with the same software was more forgiving. We had the faulty Tandberg swapped out under our maintenance contract.

You could also try to connect your laptop computer to the Tandberg while the laptop is powered off completly, then boot it up, still connected.
This usally helps with laptop computers that are tricky to get video from.

the power up trick simply puts the laptop in external only mode. You're just saving yourself the trick of using the key sequence to toggle monitor modes.
vtjoe's thing is on the money.. their laptop is simply driving the display at a refresh rate the codec can't handle. Go into your windows desktop properties, goto adaptor, and change the refresh rates.
Codecs aren't as flexible as most modern monitors are.

Sure, the output on some laptops are set to external only, the good part is that this trick SETS the correct refresh rates and stuff... this trick is for users who isn't technical at all. It is then easier to tell them to use the FN-F* key to swap the monitors... as I said, this is for tricky laptops :^)

As well, verify you don't use XGA. TBG 6000 B simply doesn't support that. E does.
