Wowsers!! What a neat-0 forum!! :)

I have been in the AV industry for the past 4 years and work as an "AV Operations Engineer" for a large ISP in VA. I am the Conferencing Technologies PM for our group and am VERY happy as well as encouraged to find this site!! It is a veritable plethora of helpful information and online support.

I am a member of PUG, ICIA and PMI. I like orange jello (only the kind made in a hospital kitchen) and hope to one day be CEO of the Universe. :classic:

I just wanted to introduce myself and say HOLA to all you wonderful VC people, forum staff and inquisitive minds.

Forever the optimist!

Welcome to the zoo Aveegirl. It's always good to see another east coaster (MD here).

I ran into this forum by doing some research on pricing of systems for a school district I'm working with. I'm with NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA, and am the operations manager of the Digital Media Lab. We do many video conferences daily with schools all around the world on NASA topics. The conferences are with public and private K-12 students.
Hopefully I'll find good info and some tips for some of the many things that happen in this system. We run (essentially) a television station through a Tandberg 6000 codec. Even some of the Tandberg techies have been in awe of all of the equipment that we have connected to this system...including seven cameras, professional production switcher, multiple formats of videotape, dvd decks, three computers, mic mixers, 12 mics........ Quite the system, but so many things that can go wrong. Keeps life interesting.
Have a good one.
