The International Society for Technology in Education (http://www.iste.org/) is developing a new Special Interest Group for Interactive Videoconferencing.

The purpose of this SIG-IVC will be to, "promote understanding of interactive videoconferencing and related virtual learning technologies within the K-12 education community by advancing collaboration, information dissemination, research, and practices."

The first meeting of the SIG-IVC will be at this year's National Education Computing Conference (http://center.uoregon.edu/ISTE/NECC2005/) in Philadelphia on Tuesday, June 28 from 4:45 to 6:15pm in Room 111B of the Convention Center.
