Just noticed in last nights episode of 24 they showcased a lot of Cisco “branded” vc. Just curious to see what others thought. If nothing else it was interesting to see them push the video phone concept on the audience.

I hope it was better then the stupid phone commercials they've been airing.. 'its a phone.. its the web.. its a video conference'

They should be tar'd and feathered over that crap

I've seen the IP phones on 24 before, but must have missed the episode you are refering to. What was the device you saw? Was it a 150?

looked like a 150. Though obviously in the original edit there would have been a techie at either end to check that they could hear and see each other OK.

I took this thread away from its original location, as it had gone off topic.

The season started with Ojo Motorola videoconferencing systems on everybody's desk - not Cisco systems. Then it switched to the Cisco branded Tandberg desktop unit.

This is pretty funny because the whole season only happens in a 24 hour day (hence the name 24).

During a single day national crisis where terrorist:

1) shoot down Air Force One with the President on board
2) cause one nuclear power plant to melt down buy a computer attack over the internet (the original attack aimed at all power plants in the US).
3) fire a nuclear missle from American soil towards LA
4) Secretary of Defense is held hostage and is almost decapitated in a internet national broadcast. (all in one 24 hour time period),

During this day, the technical support at the "Counter Terrorist Unit" (CTU) in L.A. still has time to upgrade the desktop videoconferencing systems. They must be easy systems to setup.
