Hi all,
I have a query about using Macros. I have a setup with 2 rooms.
In the main room is a VSX8000. This is where the speakers and plasma are too. This room has 3 ceiling mics.
The second room is partitioned off from the 1st room but has a sliding door to make it one room. This room only has 1 ceiling mic.
I am using 1 Vortex 2241 for this installation. I have rigged up a switch so when the partition is closed the room 2 mic is off through the logical input, setting off a macro to do this.
When using the VSX8000 remote to mute the microphones is there a way of getting the macro to check if the partition is open or closed so it will leave the room 2 mic alone when needed?

Hope you guys/gals understand my question.

Cheers

Vinnie

Hi,
think I may have solved it.
I'm gonna set the VSX mute button to mute and unmute all mics (by macros) but set the door switch (logical input) to turn the Phantom power on and off to the 4th mic.
Will try it out next week on site

Any other suggestions welcome

ok, I feel really silly now. Was looking at it all wrong and trying to stop the input. Turning the Phantom power on and off just caused pop sounds. So all I've done now is to mute the output of the room 2 mic when the door is closed and unmute when it's open!

Oh well, lesson learnt!
