Hi,

I have had a query from a customer that is looking for a solution and i am having trouble finding it or even finding out if one exists.

My customer is looking for a software solution kinda like the PVX, but he needs it to play (and loop) video files (.mpg, .divx, .xvid, etc..) or a powerpoint presentation without any human interaction.

The customer wants to be able to dial into the software from an endpoint on his LAN and test the audio and video is working ok meaning the software would have to have an audio level meter of some sort on display to test the microphone from his endpoint.

I know the Codian solution can do this (without the audio meter?) but the Codian solution isn't very cost effective when its only going to be used as a 'testbed'.

Any help appreciated!
Regards
Darren

You do get an audio meter :)

The one port IPVCR isn't too expensive - you just need to show your customer all the other cool things it does.... :D

In all seriousness - I can't think of any software (only) solutions out there that are designed to help you here.

You could really hack something together:

Install a software endpoint on a PC - point the camera from the Software endpoint at the screen.... I'm sure you could also get some kind of graphic equalizer software on that PC too to show the audio level.... Urrrgggg!!!

Kevin.
