OK so we've got this spanking new Tandberg MXP on a direct dial DD room connection over an ISDN PRI.

I have it set up using the Network Port and configured to of course use External Network with: Leased Line + RS449/V.35 as the network protocols.

Now normaly on the old plain 6000s we simply turn the machine on and if there is an incoming call the machine simply connects. Now on the MXP it simply won't connect without actually hitting the place a call button from the menu and entering a number (any number) in the dial window then hitting connect.

So that leaves me with 2 questions actually.

1) How come even though I have it set to external network with Leased line and V.35 it asks me for a number to dial?

2) How come even though I have it set to autoanswer, it still requires us actually hitting the connect button then placing any number between 1 and 9 in then hitting connect?

Note: also if we try to connect without entering anything into the number field it won't connect.

Weird.

We found that the MXP software eliminated the 'Data Triggered' option in the external network settings menu. Having to 'place' a call to answer a call is clunky and we hate it! RUMINT has this being restored in the next SW update.

Well that explains it. But what about actually having to dial a number when you are using leased line RS449/V.35 ?
