Hi,

i have a problem with my tandberg 6000!
When i try to connect over lan, i have only a Bandwith 1920 kbit/s! Why? I think i must have 3Mbit/s?! Wrong Settings? Old Software?

Thanks from Germany

Depends what you're trying to connect to as well as your net capabilities. I know a TB 6000 via H.323 to another TB 6000 can connect up to 3072k but the TB 2500 will only connect @1920K as well as Polycom VSX 7000 & 8000 codecs.

dial as 'max' in the screen. That will connect at the highest both ends support.

The codec's webpage will tell you what its max speed capability is. I think its under a page called 'system info' or 'misc'. I forget.

depends on whether your's or the far end Tandberg 6000 were bought with the max 3Mbps bandwidth. From memory, if you only have 1920K then you should be able to buy the option from Tandberg to open up 3Mbps...

As previously mentioned it depends on your network bandwidth and whether your network admin have placed any restrictions on IP calls via video.

Could also be a gatekeeper limiting bandwidth somewhere.

1920 kbit/s is actually very very good on IP.
There is no practical reason to need more bandwith.
