This position will provide digital media and video support for Digital Media Services at the School of Medicine. The employee will need to be proficient at multiple encoding and streaming technologies including Mpeg, QuickTime, and Real. This position requires a background in video production, lighting techniques, audio recording, and photography. Proficiency in OS X, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Cleaner are needed. Streaming Server Administrator skills are a plus. Proficiency with Macromedia / Adobe products, and VR Worx or other virtual reality applications are a plus. Videoconferencing knowledge preferred in both H.320 and H.323. This position will also develop web-based training materials and teach workshops related to digital media. Consult with and provide technical support services to the School of Medicine faculty. Ideal candidate will be service-minded and self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment or independently. Enthusiasm, technical competence, the ability to learn new skills quickly, and attention to detail are critical to success in the position. Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
