A company has a T1 facility.
Hauling data only.
Probably has a dsu/csu then a router then a server at the subscriber end.
The framing bit would be the only overhead. (The bit stuffing for housekeeping is not really an overhead that will detract from the handling of real data).
Correct me if my information is so antiquated as to be hazardous.
Some client wants a site page. The request comes in and the data goes out.
They have been told that they can serve only 4 , 5 or maybe 6 clients with the T1 and that they will not be getting any data on the rcv side when the xmt side is in use.
I have worked on T1 from late 60s til early 90s and not any data. Just voice. 24 channel stuff.
This sounds to me like someone has some serious set up problems and just won't ask for help.
Thoughts? Maybe enlighten me. That would not be a first. And it is always an ok thing.
