FIPS 140 VTC Encryption

I was wondering if anyone had an idea of how to get FIPS 140-1 encryption out of Polycom Viewstations? I am looking for ideas other than having to dedicate an encryptor to every unit. Thanks.

well considering the viewstation has no encryption of its own (let alone FIPS 140-1 level), there is no way to get it 'out' of the unit. All you can do is put it on a secured network. For ISDN or serial, using an external encryptor per unit is the only way to do it.
