Sony PCS1 and Kiv

:ponder: Has anyone had any experience using the Sony PCS1 with the ADTRAN 512 and a KIV 7? if so were there any problems I should know about. I am used to secure conferencing but not with this set up.

I have alot of experience using Adtran 512s and KIV 7s with Tandberg and Polycom, but I haven't had the pleasure of working with the Sonys in the secure world yet. I assume the Sony has a serial connection so as long as their interface is standardized any issues would most likely be cable related. Keep us up to date with your setup, as I am very interested in the use of the Sony in a secure environment. I have always been impressed with the quality of video out of the Sony codecs.

I will let you know how it goes. With regard to the Sony, we have been using them on other secure links for a few years now and both the users and us are more than happy with them. The new software upgrade also gives a local MCU that can link IP and ISDN. Negating the need for the radvision bridge we used to have.
